Greatest American Hero on DVD
I just, and I mean just, found out that The Greatest American Hero is out on DVD!
For the uninitiated among you, it's one of those hokey 80's tv shows about a high school teacher in LA who is visited by aliens and given super powers.
Alright, the show wasn't the greatest (despite its title) but it was fun. Especially now looking back at it.
I can't wait to watch it. Again.
Even if the stories aren't all that great, it has a great theme song....
"Look at what's happened to me-eee..."

I have to tell you, the series is as good as you remember it. If anything, it's a little better the second time around because it's such a time capsule for the early '80's. The DVD's extra features - interviews with the stars - are also well done, although the exclusive pilot for "The Greatest American Heroine" is a jumbled mess.
Incidentally, Season Two just came out:

I'm heading out of town for a couple of weeks, so I wont be able to watch GAH for a while, even though their coming from Netflix soon. ;0(
I recently watched a few episodes of V the TV series. It was funny seeing just how similar a lot of the tv programs were back then, especially action ones. Of course, V the TV series was an example of how NOT to make a tv show...
But looking forward to GAH nonetheless
