Places to Move To
I have a feeling that summer will end just as quickly as it will start, and sometime during this summer I plan on moving.
Away.
Far away.
At least, I'd like it to be far away
(Of course the problem with running away from yourself is that you're always there.)
And over the past few months, I've been thinking of where I wan to move to. This voice inside my brain is telling me to go to Arizona. So Phoenix is at the top of the list. But what if I don't listen to voices in my head telling me what to do? Then where should I go when I leave Washington (Northwestern Washington, actually)? (And by Washington, I mean State, not that other place.)
So....

13 Cities I've thought about moving to this summer
1. Phoenix (Arizona, not Oregon) (because of the voices in my head)
2. Santa Fe, NM (always loved Santa Fe since I was a teen and visited there
3. Somewhere in the Bay Area, CA (family lives there)
4. Portland, OR
5. Boston, MA
6. Ephrata, WA (really, I thought about moving there! Anyone even know where it is?)
7. Minneapolis, MN (Except in the winter... brrrr)
8. Bellingham, WA (up the freeway)
9. Spokane, WA (across the mountains)
10. Olympia, WA (use to live there; great town)
And in the 'I can dream' category:
11. Vancouver, BC
12. Tokyo or Kyoto
13. London
Interesting list, I'm sure. You can also tell I'm a bit of a dreamer. (And I will say that a few were just passing whims... more like, What if I moved there?)
So where would you move to if you could just get up and go? Any places on my list?

First time here so I thought
First time here so I thought I would first check your profile, you know, expecting to find out where you live and a bit more... THAT was a nice surprise. About your TT: interesting places, I am a big city person, I am in Barcelona, Spain and want to stay, but probably would choose WA for a summer
Happy summer, happy TT!

I'm from Hawaii and I don't
I'm from Hawaii and I don't think I'd like to live anywhere else. Although, I'd love to visit Japan one day.

Tokyo and London sound nice to me, but then I always wanted to be close to my family.
Hope you can decide where you're gonna move.

I am a East/South person and have recently become in the mood for a change, too. I'd probably go to FL to take car of family, but it is so blasted hot.
My TT is up.

I've lived near Boston most
I've lived near Boston most of my life; and lived in Japan for 3 years, outside Tokyo
I've visited: Phoenix, Santa Fe & London
The thing I missed most when I lived in Japan, was where I grew up

@mar: yeah, I like big
@mar: yeah, I like big cities too, but I'm really more of a 'burbs kind of guy... as long as I'm close enough to the big city! (And if I do end up in Arizona, summers in Washington are a must!)
@Kailani: I don't think I'd move, either
@Fatedhearts: The problem with following the voices in your head is that it's a bit awkward to tell people you're listening to voices in your head. Lots of strange looks that way!
@carmen: Scoob gang assemble! (okay, i'm mixing up Buffy and - i think - x-men.....)
@Wystful1: as opposed to Phoenix's two seasons: Oh My God It's Hot and Holy Crap! It's Damn Hot!
@Cricket: Not sure I'd want to be in a hurricane magnet. (But I did live in Oklahoma with their tornados, so you never know....)
@Janet: Life's funny that way.

Holy moly
Simply the 4 places in Washington you put in your list are worlds apart! Having moved from South Seattle to Spokane, I suddenly appreciate the diverse places and lifestyles within Washington. Where did you end up moving to?
