IceBB and Quicksilver Forums
Discovered two forum scripts today.
IceBB looks a lot like MyBB and IPB. Seriously. (Homepage here.)
Quicksilver Forum seems to me, style wise at least, to be reminicent of some old phpbb themes. Hard to read, small text, not pleasing to look at. In fact, it reminds me of Phorum. (Of course, most of my problems with it can be dealt with in the css file.)

Don't judge a forum by its
Don't judge a forum by its default skin. You could be missing out on a powerful script in Quicksilver Forums by being so hasty.

You're partly right. I shouldn't judge it by what's presented. But if it's not pleasing to look at, and I have other options, why not just look at others. (Like UseBB. That's a nice looking site - if it's the one i'm thinking of.)
