The New BlogSoldiers

Well, not really new, but a new owner has taken over the BlogSoldier blog-reading service. (My Referral Link winkwinknudgenudge (help a blogger out!))!

For a while now, I've been wondering if blog reading and blog popularity was going down. Probably. But I think that it will go back up again for two reasons: 1. Mid-Term elections. 2. TV.

For #1, people may find it hard to get real news these days. Blogs are a good source, if you choose the source right. And it's a great way to get your ideas across, too, to others. Right now the war on terror is still looming and not getting any better (or the world getting any safer). Gay marriage and stem cell research are still up in the air. And people have opinions about it.

#2 is something I've noticed here. People like to talk about TV. Blogs seem to be the new water cooler. Even though I'm not high on the list of sites people go to when they want to talk about movies, I do (did?) have a fair number of folks stopping by.

And a blog reader service like BlogSoldiers (or Blog Explosion) is a good ways of getting people interested in your site.
