More Snow Pics Soonest and that damned express lane at Albertson's

I still have more snow pics to put up here, but I'll be taking another day off of that since I have to modify them in fireworks before uploading them. I think I have about a dozen more (or less) and I'd rather chop them all up at once.

But not tonight.

I'm again in a pissy mood for no real reason. But that stupid express lane in Albertson's didn't help any.

I've been a grocery store checker, so I know how that all works. But in the express lane tonight, two customers ahead of me, there was a pricing error. The customer alerted the cashier who herself went to check on the price.

I think she stopped for a cup of coffee on the way.

She was gone for minutes. And customers were lining up behind me. Minutes. Another lane opened, but too late for me. People in that other newly opened lane were walking out the door.

She eventually came back with an expired sale tag sticker and made the correction. Then the customer starts to write her check.

A check.

That customer gone, the guy in front of me with two bottles of wine (if I knew it would take this long, I would have had my own bottle...) went through. However, that guy new the cashier and they chatted a bit.

At this point I was furious. I didn't say a word. I just stared at the wine racks. When it was my turn my niceties were short and to the point. "Fine." "Thank You." That was it.

Maybe I should just stay inside 'till new years.
