Perspective on the Storm

I was going to write to complain about the power failure I had last week.

As you may have known (it was national news) Western Washington was hit by a very powerful windstorm just over a week ago. Just about everyone lost power, including me. But my power was only down for 26 hours.

People around Puget Sound are still without power a week later.

Makes complaining about being without power for only a day seem like whining.

Anyway, the last time we had a power outage I read. Found a reading light that clips on to the book and read just about the whole of Good Omens. This Power Outage I cleaned out my iMac keyboard. Took off all the keys and cleaned under there. Gross it was.

Then I wanted coffee. So I drove 30 miles to Burlington which had all its power and did the Starbucks thing. (I figured I deserved it.) Also had some hot food.

I was in bed by six. Can't remember the last time that happened when I wasn't sick.

This week we have a few more windstorms coming through. Shouldn't be as bad. Maybe the power will stay on.
