Moon's Annoying New Habit

My cat has come up with an annoying habit. (Well, another one.)

When he jumps on my desk, like he just did, he'll go and rub his whiskers against my coffee cup. Now, I'm not sure why he wants to claim the cup as his own (as the rubbing is supposed to represent) since 1: he doesn't drink coffee, and 2: he doesn't drink out of cups.

And the only thing this results in is little hairs floating around a perfectly good cup of coffee.

But what annoys me thee most is that in the seven or so years he's owned me, he has never once rubbed his whiskers against me to claim me as his own.
