the Anti-Day of Silence on the Blogosphere

Today is the Day of Silence on the Blogosphere.

I've already posted on how I thought that this was a very stupid idea. And I stand by that. Okay, some people didn't post. Did that really send a message to anyone?

Of course it didn't.

So those of you who are standing hand-in-hand singing Kum By Ya with others not doing any blogging today, do me a favor.

Tomorrow, get off you ass and do something.

If you're taking a stand by doing nothing, then you owe it to people to do something to make the world a little better.

Find a cause, find a purpose. Do something, write a check, volunteer.

And remember, silence wont make the world better.

I still say, instead of not blogging, we should have all blogged about stopping this violence. To many young lives have been cut short.

Just Friday, I witnessed two boys with a cap gun on school property, they were 6th graders and when they were caught, they ran. Like most kids that "know it all" they returned to the scene...where they were insubordinate to the teacher. The principal was called and I made a statement for the school. I can only hope that these boys do not pull this stunt again...but I have a feeling that this is not the end of these boys' antics.
