Criminal Minds May 21, 2008 "Lo-Fi"

Wow. I heard that someone was going to get badly hurt in a bombing during tonight's episode, but by the looks of that SUV, I'm sure that whoever it was would probably wish they were dead.

So who was it?

Personally, I hope it's David Rossi. I like that character - who is strikingly different than Gideon was - but I can't stand Joe Mantegna's acting on the show. Everything about him is 'off' - especially his line readings.

I doubt it's JJ. The actress playing her, A.J. Cook, is pregnant in real life and I doubt they'd go through the trouble of having her character pregnant if they were just going to have her holed up in a hospital for the first few episodes - where they could hide the pregnancy. But it would make for good drama - would she still be with her boyfriend if they lost the baby?

Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) has the potential of a promotion, then almost gets killed? Possibly.

Killing (or nearly killing) Spencer Reid would be like making Zack from Bones a killer except here it actually fits into the plot. I love Reid and would hate to see him almost die. But it's possible.

Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster), much like Elle before her, is a much underused character. Would she actually be missed if she was gone?

So I'm thinking Prestiss or Morgan. I'm hoping it's Rossi. Of course, I'll have to wait until September to find out.
