The Facts of Lost?

Just thinking about Lost (and reading some Doc Jensen) and got to wondering - is Lost really an alternate version of The Facts of Life?

Desperate Housewives - April 19, 2009 - "Look Into Their Eyes and You See What They Know"

At the beginning of the episode, Edie says "I died just as I lived... as the complete and utter center of attention." However, what we got in the episode was a compete and utter disaster.

For one thing, the flashback stories seemed bland. It was as if they were trying to make Edie look good. But it’s hard to make the neighborhood skankwhoreslutbitch be anything but what she was. (Which refers back to the ‘center of attention’ line, too.)

Brothers & Sisters - April 19, 2009 - S3X

That was a very sexually suggestive episode of Brothers & Sisters! A possible three-way for Kevin and Scotty and the ex Chad. Steamy supply room sex for Sarah and the accountant Cal (Christian De La Fuente). Nora might have even had sex with Roger.

Lost "LaFleur" - March 4, 2009

Finally, a Sawyer-centric episode!

All in all, I thought it was a pretty good hour - it answers the question of what Daniel was doing dressed in the Dharma jumpsuit in the season premier and why Jin was driving the Dharma van a couple in "316." And we got to learn a little more about Horace, who had the map to Jacob's cabin in his pocket last season.

And who would have thought Sawyer and Juliette (a car mechanic!) would make such a great couple! Imagine little Sawyeretts running around the island! If, of course, it wouldn't kill Juliette.

Life on Mars Officially Canceled? It seems so.

Is ABC turning into the new NBC? You know NBC, the joke of the networks. Most good shows are canceled, or deteriorate in quality while the execs sit by and watch and wonder what's happening while they go and schedule stupid reality shows (remember that dance thing show a couple months back? I barely do.)

Well, ABC, after canceling Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money (while keeping Private Practice, which is a joke) has canceled Life on Mars.

Brothers & Sisters - March 1, 2009

Dear ABC,

When a TV show promises a death, a viewer expects that one character who, at the beginning of the episode is breathing and walking around, isn't walking and breathing at the end.

So, yes, I feel a bit cheated that you called Senator McAlister's 'flat lining' incident a 'death' when in fact he continued to live after that.

Lost "316" February 18, 2009

Oh my gods! Did Ben really kill Penny? I mean, he was at a marina covered in blood and did say to Charles Widmore that he would kill her.

If he did, then Ben really does belong in the son-of-a-bitch category. (And I love Ben!)

I doubt that he killed Desmond, especially after Eloise (the woman at the church, Faraday's mom) said that his part wasn't over. And Ben wouldn't mess with her. Now Desmond will be heading back to the island to kill Ben. (And I do believe that Lost is, in part, a love story between Penny and Desmond.)

Lost Season 5 Episode Titles

Since I get a kick out of the titles for each episode of Lost I've decided to compile the list of titles for the current (5th) season. (Updated to the end of the season smiley )

abc is (almost) dead to me - Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone canceled

It has apparently happened.

ABC has effectively canceled Pushing Daisies. And Dirty Sexy Money. And Eli Stone.

But the good news is that The Bachelor is coming back soon! (There was enough sarcasm there to drown a fish.)

So now the only ABC shows I will watch with any regularity are Brothers & Sisters and Lost (when it returns in January.)

Good job, ABC, on canceling Daisies without trying different timeslots.
