IE looking better... I think

I think I've made some progress with this theme in Internet Explorer. At least on my localhost windows machine. The sidebar on the front page should be where it's supposed to be, and the blue block boxes should be aligned.

Some of the problems seemed to be with the background: declaration in the stylesheet not being the first thing listed. (Yeah, I just threw them where ever my cursor was. When I moved them, they appeared. Funny, Firefox had no problem with this...)

I still need to fix a few things, but at least it's more readable now.

Sorry about Internet Explorer

Just checked this site in Internet Explorer 6 and discovered that it completely sucks. (The site in IE6, not the site.)

(And I would really love to rant about how stupid the IE6 developers are, but I'll hold off on that.)

I haven't seen it in IE7. But in 6, the sidebar is down on the bottom on the main page and about page and background images don't show up. Which is utter crap.

and then there were two

two columns, that is.

I tried really hard to get the rounded corners in the three-column theme to work, but Internet Explorer 6 couldn't handle it.

Imagine that.

So I went with this two-column, extra-large theme.

I've got a few bugs left to work out (and a few in IE, but it's still better then it was.) Still need to work on some of the typography stuff, but I'll come together.

And one last time today: I hate Internet Explorer.

Damn Microsoft

If you're reading this site using Internet Explorer and the page looks all funny, don't blame me.

Blame Microsoft.

You see, Microsoft decided not to follow web standards when creating IE. Standards that other browsers (like, say, Firefox) follow. Standards that make creating websites easier.

But they refuse to follow the standards and are going about the web experience their own way.
