It's a few days after 9/11 and I got to thinking about what kind of people (and I use that term loosely) would kill innocent people. (Okay, they were evil sociopathic religious nutcases worshiping an evil god. There, I said it.) Then I thought about why I liked America, despite its many flaws. And it boils down to freedom.

So here's my 13 reasons I'm proud to be an American Infidel.

1. We can choose what religion to believe without the government telling us.
2. Or not have a religion. And that's okay.

I ran over a opossum a couple nights ago as it was crossing the highway. The whole thing went down like this:

1. I see the opossum.
2. My brain kicks in and I think "Oh, it's a opossum."
3. BuBumb.

A few months ago I ran over a rabbit. But those have been my only two kills of mammals.

13 Things currently in my Wallet

1. A 1000 Won Bill. Korean Money.
2.A $5.00 US Bill. Real Money (I think I'm worth a couple dollars more in Korea right now!)
3. Spare Car Key, in case I lock myself out.
4. 2 Insurance Cards, one expired 12/05, the other 9/03. (Throwing those out!)
5. A gate card that opens the gates at the local airport. (Yeah, I'm supposed to have that.)
6. My current Drivers License that I ordered online earlier this month.

I recently went through yet another box, and this one turned out to be Cassette Tapes.

You know, cassettes. They came after 8-Tracts (sp?) and before CDs.

So I'm going to reach in and pull out 13 of them and tell you what they are! Feel free to leave a comment if you smiled at any of them. Or cringed. Or hated them all, or even had no idea who any of the artist's are!

1. Amy Grant's Heart in Motion. You know this one, where she turned to pop music. Come on, admit it, you know "Baby Baby"!

Names of Pets I've had over the years. (Cats unless otherwise specified.)

1. Jazz, my calico, and her three kittens:

4. Minika, who died shortly after birth. (Named Minika, since my mom called Jazz "Ika" (eeka), and that kitten looked a lot like Jazz.

6. Shadow, the black cat.
7. Garfield, who we only had for a short time.
8. Fluffy (My mom's cat)
9. Runny (also my moms, named because he ran a lot, not, well, you know...)

1. Wendy's has a new Crispy Chicken Sandwhich. From what I've had, I'd say it's definately not crispy.

   Not sure of the chicken part either.

2. My favorite hambuger ever was at Blake's Lotta Burger in Pojoaque, New Mexico. I ate there 15 years ago and I'm still talking about it.
3. I hate pickles. No, I abhor pickles. Like nature abhors a vacuum, I abhor pickles.
4. A couple days ago I had a couple Jack-In-The-Box tacos. Worst. Tacos. Ever.

Along a wall I have stacks of boxes. Each box contains bit of my past. Most of it I really should get rid of. Anyway, I opened one box today and found some books. I actually happened to find 13 books. Some of these books were from college; some I even read.

I have a feeling that summer will end just as quickly as it will start, and sometime during this summer I plan on moving.

Away.

Far away.

At least, I'd like it to be far away (Of course the problem with running away from yourself is that you're always there.)
